On being the target of immense hatred in ROBLOX Countryball

Written April 21st 2023, this essay examines why I became the target of sustained hostility in the ROBLOX countryball roleplaying scene, what the genre actually is, what it could be, and what should be done about the establishment sitting on top of it.

Since 2020, I haven't owned, managed, nor ever came close to advising a countryball game on or off ROBLOX, yet I still get hate (such as "Owner is a roach" in UB, now an archive group), threats ("Dox is being updated, brace yourself") in my Discord Direct Messages, and action (the failed doxxing before the threat in Countryball World Discord). I believe this is caused by the fact that they have seen not only mine but the potential of the entire countryball roleplaying genre when I am actively present in it. They see the genre as something to be exploited for their personal agenda.

Am I actually the target (on a wider perspective)?

To understand the opposite side, we must think like them, but not become like them. Lets start by quoiting a meme, made about Donald Trump, who is (usually) beloved by the opposite side; "In Reality They are not after me, they are after you, I'm just in the way". Those who have chosen to violently oppose me at all costs with all methods necessary, legal or not, as stated in my direct messages "We intend to find where you live as well", as stated in the thesis statement of this essay, are not actually after me. They are after the common user, common player, the genre itself. They just want to get rid of me in any way possible, so that they can exploit the young genre for their personal agenda.

What is a "Countryball", and how are they roleplayed?

Lets begin by describing the genre; what is countryball roleplaying? Countryballs are an internet meme, different, but often used interchargebly with the term "Polandball". DickRhino, a Reddit Polandball editor described to me the genre as the following after I submitted a countryball comic;

"There is a core problem with this comic: it's not a polandball comic.

From our sidebar: polandball is 'wiggly mouse-drawn comics where balls represent different countries' The countrybally in this comic are not representations of countries, they are representatios of people. The UK-ball in your comic is not meant to be a representation of the countr of Great Britain itself, it's meant to be a representation of Violet Jessop. You could replace every countryball in this comic with a drawing of a human, and nothing would be functionally different about it. That's simply not what polandball is about. Strictly speaking, this isn't a polandball comic at all. it's a comic about people represented by countryballs.

This simply missed the entire point of polandball comics. This isn't what polandball is."

Now having established the difference between countryballs and polandball, lets discuss more about countryballs; Countryballs are people represented as countries, I for instance could be represented as a Istanbulball a cityball, or Turkeyball, strictly a countryball. I could also be represented via my political views, making my representation a "polcompball". All of these are put under the genre "countryball". The action of playing as them under a game, re-enacting events (such as a historical event, common before 2018), or enacting new events (such as enacting diplomacy and war over a map, often composed of paintable provinces, hence giving them the name "Paintable") as them, is called "roleplaying".

The most proper Countryball Roleplaying communities are usually found on ROBLOX, with games such as World Of Countryballs and Countryball World dominating the Countryball "Market" (a term coined by the Countryball World).

The Potentials of the genre of Countryballs

Countryballs, being about the representation of people as cities, countries, or political views/ideologies, appealing to everyone from age 13 and onwards, has many potentials that are either undiscovered or being surpressed for the agenda of either the elite (such as the owners of the games on ROBLOX) or private agendas of certain groups (such as the alt-right and nazbols). As an example, in the most straightforward way; they could be used as avatars in language exchange games, with each user having an avatar representing their country or language. As for a more specific example; in a platform focusing on politics and political debates, they could be used avatars for privacy and as a easy sneak peek of the said persons political beliefs. Unfortunately, as aformentioned in this essay, none of these are being used, and actively being surpressed by the elite or private people in any method necessary, and this unfortunately has given the genre a bad reputation in ROBLOX and abroad.

The Modern state of Countryball Roleplaying Community (on ROBLOX)

Nowhere else, in a genre directly intertwined, has someone recieved immense hatred for supporting equal rights (including in love and kindness) for all, often using Islam as a basis (in LGBTQ+ issues), and labeling me as munafiq for doing so, starting a holy war (Jihad) targeted towards me, make a victim of immense cyberbullying, and somehow make it look in a way where I am using "the victim card" (as stated by the founder of modern ROBLOX Countryballs, whom I won't name).

It is also nowhere else that on an extremely political genre (by nature), children who shouldn't be aware of such topics (which I categorize as 13 and below), have taken over the genre. Unfortunately, this hasn't produced good results, but only toxicity, imnmatureness, explotiation (which in my view causes a cycle of chains, continuing the present situation) and radicalism in the Weltanschauung of the user itself, which is becoming an important issue in our contemporary world. Before closing this section/chapter, how this happened should be mentioned, as even when I led a countryball community, the situation was similar.

I was prevented from establishing change, and as a lone person with many enemies, I finally fell in 2020, and since then my opponents have been attempting to erase me, my legacy, and to ensure that I won't be a threat to their establishment. What establishment?

The Establishment

This is a subsection of the chapter "The Modern state of Countryball Roleplaying Community (on ROBLOX)", focusing on the establishment of the elite and private people.

Countryball as a genre cannot belong into a person, as we don't even know the person who made the first comics of the predecessor of it on Krautchan, Polandball. Unfortunately, this has stopped becoming the case, and the genre is now being used to gain immense amount of both virtual and real capital by individuals, as I have learnt by my unfortunately failed attempts to persuade the owners of the game to care about the genre and ensure its advancement. The situation of a wrong audience being interested in the genre benefits them, as children seem to be playing and spending more time than other audiences.

Another thing I realized by these failed attempts was the depth of radicalism and factionalism. Quincians (as they call themselves) for instance are a group of people angry at Countryball World for their past conflicts, and refuses any contact with those looking positively at them, which they include me as one of those people.

Until now, I passively opposed the establishment. This ends with this essay being written.

The course of action that should be taken

Countryball is a large genre, and this fact should be embraced. Not as a easy way to make money as a roleplaying game, but as a tool to achieve a better, knowledgable, and civilized, humanity.

The genre and its width, and its potential must be realized at first, not as a easy game for those interested in history as a child, but as a general purpose genre that can be used anything that can related into anything that has a flag, for everyone above 13.

The genre is not made for a specific person to benefit; its made for all of us, and we should use it to its fullest extend. Each one of us should not only be able to participate and contribute to this genre, but we must do it in accordance with our abilities, and get results together, and benefit from them as a community; The Countryball Community!

Conclusion

I hope, as I am being tried to be silenced by the opposition, have awakened the reader in order to achieve a better countryball community.

There is an establishment, benefiting from the current situation, that is trying to stop me from establishing a true countryball genre for all, and instead preserving the current individual based countryball roleplaying genre, using every means necessary.

They may stop a sole, lone person (being me) from achieving such a thing, but together we can do a revolution -in which they fear, hence their active attempts to stop me- to stop the current situation, and achieve the ideal countryball community, for all of us!
